Just Restocked! These looms are the perfect weaving tool for creating your small-scale woven tapestries. They are also easily portable so you can take your project with you on the road! Allan, who is a woodworker based in Napa, CA, has handcrafted these beautiful frames out of poplar wood, which makes for a sturdy frame loom of exceptional quality. Allan and I worked together to come up with this final design, which is inspired by the loom I have been using to make my 365-piece collection, “A Woven Year”. Each loom measures 10” X 12” and contains 28 notches to feed 28 warp threads at a 1/2 inch apart.

Each weaving kit comes with the following items:

• Handcrafted loom made of poplar wood.

• Shuttle stick

• Tapestry Needle

• A hand carved one-of-a-kind wooden comb from Oaxaca, Mexico.

• A yarn bundle of five naturally dyed and hand spun churro wool which was hand-dyed in the town of Teotitlán del Valle in Oaxaca, Mexico by the Biidau family. The yarns are tinted with indigo, cochineal and marush. The churro is a coarse fiber and is traditionally used in Zapotec rug weaving, and can be used in functional and decorative weavings. These yarns can be used for both warp and weft.

• A cotton warping yarn (Please reach out if you would like other recommendations)

• A dowel rod for hanging your first weaving.

Additional information:

*Because of the saturation and intensity of the darker indigo-dye yarn, the color may rub off onto your hands or clothes while working with the material. Please do not wash woven items with lighter clothing, as the color may also transfer.

*Yarn bundles are not vegan, as they are made of wool and contain cochineal dye.

*Always store yarn in a dry, cool place. It is also best kept in sealed bags or containers.

*Adult supervision required.

*Keep yarn out of reach from small children and pets, as yarn can be a choking/tangling hazard.
