Let’s weave! 🧶

Have you ever wanted to learn weaving, but didn’t know where to start? Well then this class is the perfect way to get introduced to the process and the medium.

In this 2 1/2 hour live online workshop, you will learn the basics of tapestry weaving from drafting a design, to warping the frame loom, to learning weaving techniques and finishing off your piece. I will also provide a presentation on tapestry weaving which includes some of its history, and some additional inspiration. Furthermore, I will provide resources for you to source weaving materials.

You will leave this class with the skills to make your own wall-hanging or “woven drawing”. This course is inspired by my 100 day weaving challenge, where I created one “Woven Drawing” a day for 100 days in a row.

For the live zoom workshop, materials will not be provided, though you will be sent resources via email 4 weeks before the class, so you have enough time to prepare for it. There is a limited quantity of spots in the class that have the option for you to purchase a loom, which will be shipped out to you before the class.
