In this three-hour workshop, you’ll learn the fundamentals of frame loom weaving; from warping your loom and drafting a design to incorporating a variety of tapestry techniques. Together, we’ll explore both structure and image-building and your instructor Jessie Mordine will guide you in your piece’s development through each stage of the textile-making process, resulting in a one-of-a-kind work of art.

This class is focused on both creativity and resourcefulness; students will work on a DIY 9” x 12” cardboard loom and incorporate materials and tools you might already have within reach at home. You’ll take your loom home as a template for future projects, plus the skills and confidence to keep weaving on your own.
